  • RPE Face fit testing

    Under the regulations for COSHH, Control of Asbestos, Control of Lead at Work and the HSG53, all Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) at work requires you to ensure that the selected RPE is adequate and suitable for the wearer, task and environment. To conform and provide evidence, a fit test is required.

CITB Safety Management and training courses

The Site Safety Plus Scheme provides the building, civil engineering and allied industries with a range of courses for people seeking to develop skills in this area.

These courses are designed to give everyone from operative to senior manager the skills they need to progress through the industry. From a one-day Health and Safety Awareness course to the five-day Site Management Safety Training Scheme, our courses ensure everyone benefits from the best possible training.

SMSTS Course – 5 days – This course is for you if you’re considering, or already have, responsibilities for planning, organising, monitoring, controlling and administering groups of staff e.g. site manager.

SSSTS Course – 2 days -This course is for you if you’re considering, or already have, supervisory responsibilities. It is endorsed by Build UK as the standard training for all supervisors working on Build UK sites and provides an understanding of health, safety, welfare and environmental issues. It highlights legal responsibilities and the need to promote health and safety to supervise effectively.

HSA – 1 day -This course highlights potential hazards when working on site and provides practical advice on keeping yourself and your colleagues safe. It covers your individual and employer’s responsibilities, including what you can do if you think anyone’s health and safety is being put at risk. This course provides health and safety awareness and is endorsed by Build UK as standard training for all operatives on site.

TWCTC – 2 days -The course has the support of a number of organisations: Temporary Works Forum, CECA, UKCG, HSE and FMB. The support of these organisations offers transferability of the course within industry.

TWSTC – 1 day -The course gives emphasis throughout to the importance of communication, co-ordination, co-operation and competency (the ‘4Cs’), risk management, safety and business relations.

RPE Face fit testing

All our trainers are Fit2Fit trained testers and can either test you in your workplace or in our training facility for qualitative testing. It is Law that all operatives working in a dust related environment needs to be correctly fitted. As an employer, it is also your responsibility to ensure that you remain compliant to the Law. HSE statistics highlight the increase of dust related illnesses. Don’t let your staff add to the statistics.
